Today was a day off from scheduled activities (which was a good thing because Ellie was up most of the night crying)...it appears she is sick, so we have now begun antibiotics on top of around the clock motrin and tylenol. As long as the tylenol is in her system, she is happy...that on top of the 4 1/2 hour nap this afternoon, and she is good as gold.
We can see some of the families feel sorry for us because Eliana is not doing what is expected for 12 month olds...to which we reply this...Who is it that created Ellie? Who are we to question the child that God has created specifically for our family? Ellie will grow and develop at the rate that she needs to and we will do all we can for her...we are thankful for the moments she smiles and reveals a little of the potential that lies within her..we are thankful for the moments when she reaches her arms for us, which indicates that she is beginning to trust us...and we are thankful for the times when she burrows her face into our neck, which is a revealing of the love taking hold in her heart...and we are thankful that God has chosen to reveal glimpses of His love in each of these simple acts each day. We are truly blessed!
