Well, one more hurdle down...today was Eliana's visa photo and medical exam, as long as a litany of paperwork for mom :)
Her visa photo turned out beautiful (but we are not allowed a copy) and her medical exam...well, was questionable...the doctors pretty much say every baby is healthy, but from the smell coming out of Ellie's ear and the way the doctor kept looking at it, we expect different. The good news is she seems to be doing well on the antibiotics and we hope to just get her home and checked out more thoroughly.
Another praise to report...French Fries!! Yes, there is a little restaurant next to our newest hotel that has a variety of foods..and yes, anyone who knows me knows I love French Fries..and Doug in his ethereal wisdom, decided to offer some to Ellie...who knew?? You guessed it ! The little shark gobbled them up...funny, she won't eat anything else, but loves fries...guess she is her mother's daughter!
We have been warned by locals of a typhoon or something coming and telling us to stay in our hotel; however, we walked tonight and it was just windy...and hot...we are cut off from that type of news here, so we have no idea what the weather is or what else is going on in the world...we just have limited English channels on our TV...I think there is HBO, a movie channel, and National Geographic...not that we are watching too much TV anyway..
I am so thankful that we are traveling (for the most part) as a group...it has been nice to chat with other families, hear their struggles, celebrate the little triumphs....
We are on the countdown..3 more days until we catch a redeye flight to Shanghai..we are the only ones traveling this way, so we only have 3 more days with our group as well...
Thanking God for all those who are praying for us again, as each day seems to be a little easier...and am looking forward to the promise of my parents "to pray us home"..
